I am a scholar specialising in ethnomusicology, music aesthetics, and popular music. I hold a PhD in Musicology from the University of Vienna and received both my master’s degree in Musicology and bachelor’s degree in Music Theory from the University of Chile. Among other honours, I received the Otto Mayer-Serra Award for Music Research.
I am currently employed as a lecturer at the University of Vienna.
